Nutrition for healthy breasts

It may surprise you, but one of the best ways to keep your breasts healthy is to pay attention to what you eat. A healthy diet supports the health of your breasts by reducing inflammation, maintaining a healthy weight and improving your metabolism. Proper nutrition therefore not only helps to keep your breasts beautiful, but also contributes to their overall health – which is of course the most important thing.

Fatty fish

Omega-3 fatty acids are important for healthy breasts because they reduce inflammation, keep your hormones in balance and keep your cells healthy. This not only helps to protect your breast tissue, but can also lower the risk of breast disease, such as breast cancer. You can find omega 3 in oily fish such as salmon and mackerel, linseed, chia seeds and walnuts.

Arugula and kale

These green powerhouses have many health benefits. Both vegetables belong to the cruciferous family and are full of fiber and carotenoids. These plant-based substances may help reduce the risk of estrogen receptor-negative (ER-) breast cancer.

Phytoestrogens

Soy, linseed, sesame seed and legumes are rich in phytoestrogens, plant-based substances that have a structure similar to the female hormone estrogen. These can help keep your hormones in balance, which can affect the health of your breasts.

Yogurt

Fermented foods such as yogurt contain healthy bacteria (probiotics) that are good for your intestines and immune system. It ensures that your intestines work properly and helps the body get rid of waste. People with breast cancer often also have bowel cancer, which often has to do with eating habits.

Citrus fruits and berries

Citrus fruits and berries are full of antioxidants that protect cells and contribute to healthy skin, which is also good for firm breasts. Blueberries and blackberries contain many phytonutrients such as cyanidin, kaempferol and resveratrol, which may reduce the risk of breast cancer.

Bee pollen

According to TikTok, bee pollen is a miracle cure if you would like to be a size larger. Bee pollen is made up of small grains that bees create from pollen and other substances. They are packed with vitamins, proteins and phytoestrogens, the aforementioned substance that resembles the hormone estrogen. This is why it is claimed that they can influence your hormone balance and make your breasts grow.

Unfortunately, this claim has not been scientifically proven. Although estrogen does play a role in breast tissue growth, each body processes phytoestrogens differently. The result therefore varies per person, and there is no scientific evidence that bee pollen will make your breasts grow to a larger cup size.
